I am not a Trekkie. I don’t think I have ever sat through an episode of the beloved, Shatner-starring TV Show. And whilst a film adaptation of what many consider to be the holy grail of science…

amazing song. truly breathtaking.
Elliot Smith - Needle in the Hay.
The Royal Tenenbaums (2001).GREAT MOVIE SCENES, GREAT SONGS #3.
“I’m taking the cure so I can be quiet wherever I want. So leave me alone. You ought to be proud that I’m getting good marks.”
As one of my favorite movies, I can say — without hesitation — that I wanna marry Wes Anderson and have him direct my life.
Jesus and Mary Chain - Just Like Honey.
Lost in Translation (2003).GREAT MOVIE SCENES, GREAT SONGS #2.
“Listen to the girl as she takes on half the world, moving up and so alive in her honey dripping beehive.”
That last scene was fucking magical.
OK, it should be well known to most people (movie buffs) that there is a company called Criterion, that re-releases DVDs in their own style, with insane special features and amazing cover art to…
This blog post is brilliant. Although I don’t necessarily share his views on religion or death, the sheer honesty of the post and the succinct way in which he can recognise and capture the concept of his own mortality astounds me.
This is from the Casanova Soundtrack but I found it on The Playlist’s Soundtrack Series in their “If I Were Wes Anderson” Mix. First time I heard this I could’ve sworn it was in Rushmore or The Royal Tenenbaums.
OK, I haven’t actually written anything substantial on this Tumblr for a while, so I’m gonna head in a musical direction. (For more, check out http://betterlookalive.blogspot.com)
Last 5 albums I have listened to:
5. Today - Galaxie 500
Brilliant album. On one listening I was hooked to the dream pop/shoegaze/whatever you want to call this subgenre that is Galaxie 500. Just so cool, easy to listen to and just plain enjoyable. I recommend this to ANYONE.
4. Sunshine (Music From The Motion Picture)
See the film. The score and sound design should blow you away. And it has Underworld :)
3. Broken Beats/Weave and Wish/Table Scraps/Wonderland - Pogo
OK, so this is sort of cheating, but I’m combining these 4 EPs. This guy is from Perth, Australia and is awesome. He melds together samples form movies and creates a great ambient sound. All of his stuff is for free at Last.fm
2. Junior - Röyksopp
This is a great dance album. All the songs are catchy, they will stick in your head, trust me on this.
1. Primary Colours - The Horrors
One of the best albums I have heard in a long time. This is like a modern Joy Division sound and it is brilliant!!!! Just get it, listen to it, bask in it, do whatever you wish with it but enjoy the hell out of it!
just watched The Crow aka Brandon Lee’s last film. I’m stuck between a 7/10 and an 8. I loved the visual style, which Proyas would go on to perfect in Dark City, the plot wasn’t really there but hey, there were some cool deaths!
great album that often gets overlooked in Daft Punk’s discography…
@Corts high fidelity ftw.
Goes for a while but definitely pleasant…
Love this remix, up there with Justice’s version of Get On Your Boots
Since seeing the Boat That Rocked, I have fallen in love with this song…
awesome tune - Love Will Tear Us Apart redux (well, pretty much)
Just discovered this via Questionable Content aka best webcomic ever.
